For some reason, 'MMR' is not functioning properly. The reasons are unknown, and at this time there are no plans to find a fix.

The reason that I chose to create this application was because I love movies. And whenever there's a movie that I would like to see, I check out what Roger Ebert has to say first. If his review states that the movie isn't any good, then chances are that I’ll skip it.

A few weeks ago I went to the video store to rent a DVD. While walking through the aisles, I decided to check Ebert's reviews on my iPhone. The site was loading very slowly, and I thought that it would be great if there were a simple mobile website out there to check movie reviews.

At that time I decided to write one for myself. After searching for APIs from the Chicago Sun Times, and coming up empty, I found a blog post about the New York Times movie reviews API.

There are some issues with the app, which are being worked out. One issue is that link to the movie trailer is not 100% accurate. This is because the correct title comes from the NY Times, then it is used to search YouTube for the trailer. Since the trailers are uploaded by users, or there sometimes isn’t a trailer, there can be a discrepancy. So I’ll continue to work on a compromise.

So the app is pretty much close to being completed, if anyone has any suggestions, please send them to me.
